Wyndham Championship is going in the midway. Chris Riley today (Friday) fired a seven-under-par 63 to claim the lead through the second round of the Wyndham Championship.
The American, Riley, who started the day in a tie for 11th, claimed seven birdies in a stunning, error-free round, including four over the closing six holes, to put himself 11 under for the Greensboro tournament.
Hot on Riley's heels was Sergio Garcia, the popular Spaniard's round of 64, which included two eagles, putting him in a tier for second place with first-round leader Bill Haas, two strokes behind Riley.
A further shot behind them were Americans Kevin Stadler and Boo Weekley, with Jeev M Singh of India and Australia's John Senden all carding rounds of 64 to sit at seven under.
Kris Blanks, eight under after 16 holes, looked on course for the round of the day after dragging himself into contention despite being four over following a disappointing first round.
England's Brian Davis was tied for 16th at five under after a second-round 65, with compatriot Justin Rose alongside him after remaining level through three holes.
Greg Owen was level for the day after four, while Scotland's Martin Laird was among the day's later starters.
